Good to see CBB a second time. Martin stole the show again. :) Great guitar work - those two work well together. Kudos to all the stand-ins. I must say this, however: Tilo is good, but Arie is the mutt's nads. That guy is just awesome!
There's something joyous and something sad about a CBB concert - joyous because it's great music played from the heart, and sad because the Man Himself isn't around to hear it.

Hereby I would like you to know that I tremendously enjoyed your performance. I assume that playing together with Ike is not substantial fare for you guys, but I think that by no means Ike Willis has been wronged by the bands excellent accompaniment. The band that you brought on stage yesterday is solid as a rock, my compliments. As for me, as a hard-core Zappa fan, it’s good to see competent musicians keeping the heritage of our hero alive. Hopefully you’ll be back sometime in Groningen and I’ll definitily be there.

Brilliant gig in Rotterdam last night, guys. Great to see Ike enjoying himself - and playing some awesome guitar. The highlight of the evening for me? "Sofa" - "a cute little song in the German language which is the way [the Good Lord] talks whenever it's heavy business" (FZ)...!!

It was a great night October 5th in Speakers, a solid platform with musical qualities. The stunningly good sound of Ike Willis’ voice (and when he touches those strings) Furthermore, Martin Smith was in his element, jumping and playing. The enthusiasm couldn't be missed. During Watermelon Ithere were tears in my eyes. My thoughts were with Frank Zappa and his too early death. Highlights for me were “Stick It Out” and the fabulous anarchistic Bolero-guitar-solo, but there were more. Thanks for a well-spent evening and have another Tequila!!

Just wanted to let you that I finally had a chance to listen to the CBB album, and I was impressed with both the production quality and the playing throughout. Very nice, solid performances of some of Zappa's tunes that lend themselves to good, fun grooving... The nice thing about this CD is that you can hear the band interacting and actually making music out of Frank's material. And nice singing! :-)
I especially like the guitar work throughout. Good sounds, good solos. I especially like the "Crew Slut" textures. And the vocals on "Green Hotel." :-)

Have listened to your CD once, so not really enough to give an opinion (for what it's worth); what struck me at once was the fact that you give your own twist to the music, something which I think is very important with Zappa's music (if only because an exact copy is not likely to sound better than the original), but it has all been done respectfully and without using the songs merely as vehicles for your qualities as musicians.
